In an attempt to set a new record for skiing Santas, hundreds of skiers and snowboarders decked out in their costumes made their way down the slopes of Crested Butte Mountain resort last weekend. This is considered to be the first of what will be an annual event conceived by Iron Orchid Events, so perhaps this is one record that we will continually up the ante on here in Crested Butte. Participants seemed to be having a great time, but who wouldn’t have fun skiing in a Santa suit. The Santas congregate at Uley’s in anticipation of their victory run down the mountain:
