The Colorado State Legislature designated Crested Butte as the “Wildflower Capital of Colorado”, and with good reason. The area receives abundant snowfall in the winter, followed by evening showers in the summer, and that adds up to an unbelievable array of flowers throughout the spring, summer, and fall. In a good year, flowers of every size, color, and shape can literally be shoulder high. Have your own “Julie Andrews moments” and call Crested Butte home.
