Crested Butte Mountain Resort announced this week that they are re-thinking their uphill pricing plan. Previously, the cost of a season pass for uphill skintrack access was going to be $100, even for those who already held a downhill pass. It would appear that widespread criticism of the plan resulted in a change of heart from ski area management, and the pass will now be free for those with a downhill pass. Nordic pass holders can now purchase an uphill pass for an additional $50, while non-passholders will still need to pay $100.
