For those of you who have seen the developments at the Crested Butte Mountain Resort Base Area this summer, you may be asking “Why did they build a parking garage in the middle of a parking lot?” The new parking garage is the first step on the way to the new Mount Crested Butte Performing Arts Center . The Performing Arts Center will be a terrific addition to Mount Crested Butte, and the entire region. Much like the recent Mountaineer Square development and base area facelift, the new PAC will really shine things up at the base area. In the meantime, the parking garage will add additional parking for the nearby Grand Lodge during busy times of year, and the PAC will be situated on the far side of the garage.
