Crested Butte Neighborhood Spotlight: Prospect
The Prospect subdivision offers some of the finest ski-in/ ski-out properties not just in Crested Butte, but for any ski area across the West. One visit will confirm that you cannot match the properties here- not in Telluride, Aspen, Vail, or Jackson Hole. Panoramic views of the meandering East River and oxbow lakes sit below, while Elk Mountain peaks like Gothic, Bellview, Avery, and Whiterock tower above. In the summer, the valley positively glows in an electric green hue, while the snows of winter highlight an idyllic winter landscape. Skier access is available via both the Prospect and Goldlink chairlifts, while numerous ski runs access homesites within the community. The trails of Crested Butte Mountain Resort are right outside your door in the summertime as well, perfect for a hike or mountain bike ride.
Check out Lower Meander, one of the most scenic trails in the entire Crested Butte area. Homes in this area can be built as large as 8,000 square feet. Prospect is a relatively new subdivision, so many of the best homesites are still available for sale. In short, if you’re looking to buy or build a Crested Butte luxury home, Prospect is a good place to begin your search.
