Crested Butte Mountain Resort is once again sponsoring “Rock on Ice”. This ice carving event features magnificent ice sculptures in the Mountaineer Square Courtyard/ Crested Butte transportation center. If you haven’t seen professionals carving ice, it’s a sight to see as chainsaws transform blocks of ice into sculptures of every size and shape. The sculptures will stay until the weather gets too warm and they begin to melt, usually sometime in late February or early March.
